HA!!!!CLASSIC SOYINKA,...one could say "english" please.why can't he just say that communication between people is more effective,towards finding resolution in conflict situations, rather than just a lone dictatorial voice or something to that effect.you have got to love the intricacies and difficulties of the english language,...or perhaps it's just that soyinka is an intellectual who doesn't talk laymen's english:)

i noted the above, because it is true, dialogue is a much more creative process,which can and does lead to resolution in issues, which are more peaceful,..i wish though that action was the result,..i've grown up believing the old adage,it's not what you say but what you do, that matters.south african's have learned to spend hours in dialogue, it is now about the doing (delivery)...more than the talking.
