i am getting oh so tired of reading the local papers, crime from the first to the last page, if it's sports on the last page, it will have to do with match fixing.
i am probably miffed just because i had my wallet stolen again, this time, while i was purchasing bread for iftaar dinner on Saturday, (not even the month of ramadaan is sacred anymore,)my wallett was stolen out of my bag, having hidden it inside my shopper,i believed it was hidden from view. i am more peeved at myself, because i know that Johannesburg is a muggers paradise, and for the one moment that i relaxed, i got robbed. so here i am again running around Johannesburg getting my drivers licence re-issued, and replacing credit cards. the inconvenience of it all,is frustrating as hell.the sense of violation,..well that comes with the territory in this town....and we are told not to complain about crime, because it really is a non-issue. ya right.
well done to India,!!!! brilliant twenty, twenty game,on the last ball, i surely thought Pakistan would pull it off for a boundary, it was so close,..we were sitting on the edge of our seats, did anyone notice the crowd reaction when srk was spotted in the stands, the cricket game was all but forgotten by adoring fan's and there was king khan cheering on the boys with great gusto. must say i was really impressed by the captains of both teams, they were young but very astute, alas the same cannot be said for our own graham smith, i wish the cricketing authorities in south Africa would realise that he does not have a great brain, alas i am never going to be heard by the powers that be.
i believe my blogs on the wedding saga, has reached out and banned me from all parties, geez!!!i'm, soooooo, sad missed out on partying with the boys in blue and king khan, guess i am becoming persona non grata on the social scene,....mr. gupta so sorry :)i would love to be invited to a good game of cricket though, hehehe.
rugby will be filling our screens for the remainder of the week, not my game i have to admit. so no need to send me an invite,...
someone sent me an e-mail that put a smile on my face, and it has to do with our very "sober" health minister.."although i was Absinthe from the office for several months,i wish to remind you that i Amstel the Minister of Health,am not a dictator but i Amarula and i will continue to Rum the Department of Health".
you gotta get a laugh out of that,.. i am also enjoying the fact that i am back on line....

hey good to have you back.
I am so sorry about the stolen purse - ya, more than the loss of the wallet it is getting these cards and licence reissued that is painful. All the best.
thanx usha, have decided only to carry these things around when absolutely necessary :) that's the plan, easier said than done.
