i guess it was too much to ask havin a great sunday last weekend, the work week deteriorated into one of those stressfull, wish i didn't have to be here weeks.
to the point where i didn't even want to turn the pc on,....
i am just simply flabbergasted by peole's inability to follow simple instructions, or even to work with a modicum of common sense, i am begining to wonder if the english i speak, is incomprehensible to all but me.but hey ,...whats the point of bitching, we choose our line of work for the most part,so i guess we've gotta suck it up, and get on with it.so tonight im cheering myself up, in the hope of a more inspired work week, by listening to chris de burgh, remember this....
Dennis is a menace with his "anyone for tennis?"
And beseeching me to come and keep the score....
And maude says "Oh lord! im terribly bored!"
And i really can't stand it anymore....
I'm going out to dinner with a gorgeous singer
To a little place i've found down by the quay;
Her name is Patricia, she calls herself Delicia,
And the reason isn't very hard to see...
She says God made her a sinner just to keep fat men thinner,
As they tumble down in heaps before her feet,
They hang around in groups like battle weary troops,
One can often see them queue right down the street....
You see Patricia, or Delicia, not only is a singer
She also removes all her clothing....
For patricia is the best stripper in town.
.....And with a swing of her hips she started to strip,...etc,etc.
atleast something to put a smile on my face.
and i continue to take the journey with vikram lall, and understand more intensely that in-between world, that africa is my world, its beauty, its cruelty,...that india is that place, who's spices, language, smells, tastes,...pervade our home, but it is still that distant place, that many of us will never see, nor travel to.
but always a part of us, that defines our place even in the southern most tip of africa.

hey ;-)
hang in there, it will get better.
i spent my weekend reading a book called the constant gardener. it is about pharmacueticals and especially about how they are using the third world read africa to test their wonder drugs. it was scary. you should be thankful that you dont live in sudan.
all is well here, if you go by what you see and hear on the state television. we are get ashivairia roy to kick start our anti-polio drive this time around. and importing lots of contraceptives which will be provided to the masses at subsidized rates. also saw a quarter page ad for the morning after pill. i am impressed, the kind of stuff to make sure that we get the money to buy the drugs from the same people who give us the money, and we still find a way to make a quick buck in this transaction.
i wish i had independent means, so i would just do things that i wanted to, working isnt one of them ;-)

it was funny, in a sad sort of way.
have a good one
thanks for the vote of confidence, planning to make this a good week:)
home is an abstract thing in reality.
YOU THINK? NOT THE OLD CLICHE, HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS.
I SUPPOSE WHEN ONE LIVES IN A COUNTRY, WHERE SO MUCH STOCK WAS PUT ON ONES ORIGINS, THIS TYPE OF SITUATION USUALLY ARISES
