IMAGINE
imagine there's no heaven
it's easy if you try
and no hell below us
above us only sky
imagine all the people living for today
imagine there's no country
it isn't hard to do
nothing to kill or die for
and no religion to
imagine all the people
living life in peace
you may say im a dreamer
but i'm not the only one
maybe someday you will join us
and the world will be as one
imagine no posessions
i wander if you can
no need for greed or hunger
or brotherhood of men
imagine all the people
sharing all the world
you may say that i'm a dreamer
but i'm not the only one
and maybe someday you will join us
and the world will be as one.
LENNON
it's the end of another month, and i feel like the year has flown past while i wasn't watching. so much despair on the news, in the world,...sadness,madness,horror,etc,etc. then there is always the dreamer,..the belief that someday, we will learn to love, share, live in peace.imagine all the people living life in peace.
the eternal optimist in me truly believes we can, someday:)
just imagine,...there is always place in the world for the dreamer, the artist the poet, didn't someone once say the pen is mightier than the sword.
spring, has finally reached our shore's and i think that goes a long way to bringing out the optimist in me, flowers in bloom, birds chirping in the trees, and green, green everywhere.people are friendlier too, like they're discarding the grey mournful winter mood for sunnier chirpier dispositions, accept of course for the telephone repair guy who came past the office today, geez,.. he definitely had a carrot up the @#$#%%$#. the man never said a word, then he appeared to be on the source too, blood short eyes, and a face that probably hasn't cracked a smile in decades.or perhaps it comes with the nature of the job, anyway im not complaining, my phone lies are up and running, and thats a great day in my book.
what would i be without that most essential item of life...my life anyway, cause what would i do without the daily dose of gossip, from the gang. gotta catch up on the latest irritating habit of the friends spouse, or the friend who's packing for snowier climes, to escape the horrendous crime in johannesburg, then there's the cry for help, cause the kids are too much to handle, and can you please help out with the cooking. or there's the can you pick me up at the airport, cause ive got baby , baby seat, luggage, etc, etc. and i neeed!!! help. it's sooooo!!!! funky when your'e the lone spinster in a sea of married friends, with the picket fence and 2 1/2 kids.is it just me or is it a general assumption that when your'e unattached you have oodles of available time to spend bailing out the attached from the difficulties of life.
hey im not complaining i love them all dearly, just wandering, if any of my friends ever imagined what life would be like once they became an us. and then there's always that slight bit of envy for the single friend, cause your life seems so happening and with it, parties, friends, holidays(without having to carry diaper bags, access luggage,) and time, time to chill in the garden with something long and cold, the latest thriller, sunblock, lazing in the african sun. sounds good,..
but the grass is not always greener on the other side, is it.we have our own stressers and those have to be dealt with, without a shoulder to cry on.
thank goodness for the blogging craze, im realising that it gets a great deal of my chest anyway.
imagine......just imagine.
oops time to enjoy, life is not al haha heehee!!!!.
till next we meet

heaven is wherever you are not, and thus married people want to be single, single people want a significant other in their lives, etc. etc.
i dont know what i am talking about ;-)
oh well, each situation has its advantages....we just gotta keep reminding ourselves of them. :)
i have got a freind in capetown, she was telling me that the crime rate in yours is scary! then another was telling me that you have bars instead of glass in taxi windows there? true?
xoff, ure so right, we want to believe the grass is greener on the other side.
someone once said it is human instinct to be curious, to know more. if your instinct of curiosity fails you at every bend, of the road then part of you has died. know i sound clueless:)
gulnaaz,... all lies, taxi's have windows:)... little overloaded with commutors, but they have windows.
crime in the cape, i think it's worse,... she's not seeing the effects, cause it's mostly gang/drug related violence and crime, concentrated at the cape flats, and town ships like khayaletsha. i think johannesburg, just has this reputation, but it's not as crime infested as people believe. like all majour cities though we definitely have our problems.
i think i'm a little biased, i'm a jo'burg girl no doubt.
thanks for the info. :)
