azaad came over to spend the day with dadi...she is off to umdloti with me, as i said before feels more like work than a break, however being on the coast just engenders feelings of relaxation. :)

azaad, visited us for lunch today, looking just like a little buddah, he went for a haircut yesterday, and his lack of hair makes him look much tinier to my eyes.

dada and aunt were out doing the shopping this morning, and we met azaad and his mum at the butchery doing their shopping, since he was sorely missed, his dada kidnapped him, and we brought him home allowing his mum to continue her shopping.

he didn't even have a smile ready for me today, must be cross because he had to go home on the weekend, lol:)in any event we brought him home, and he spent some time banging on the xylophone, dada's purchase, eish!!!!!!the headache, hope he learns to play a tune on the thing. i love him anyway.

nephew spent his last day with us, these two weeks have been tiring but a joy. dadi and dada took him shopping for treats on his last day. the big grey mouse, is just adorable, i should put his exploits on this blog

happiness is?

thanks to azaad, people who are not usually morning people, rise early and keep him company in his makeshift playpen.
he has been a joy to be around, his sojourn with dada and dadi will be over by tomorrow,i can see us not getting much work done today, his presence has been akin to daily power outages, since we find ourselves more interested in playing with nephew, rather than working.
by now he has settled into his mid morning nap, and i am bleary eyed sitting at my desk longing for bed :). the joy of being a baby.is really lost on the baby, he fights sleep, because he misses out on play time, when he is older he will realise the value of sleeping in.

my nephew loves to bath, and screams violently when having to dress.
you have to see the absolute joy on the young one's face when he hears the bath water running,...his smile lights up his face, getting out of the bath is not as much fun.

i captured him this morning wrapped in his towel, sitting in his emptied bath, as he refused to let his dadi dress him....it took two grown women to coax and cajole him into a diaper and t-shirt, it was a lot easier to dress him when he was younger, know he turns his entire body around, wiggles and screams and tries to put as much distance as possible between his rear end and the diaper. i am exhausted by the time the episode is over.

how does one tie a 7 month going on 8 month old down, so he can be dressed?

as the background of the picture show's our offices are still under construction, 11months and counting......perhaps when the nephew reaches his first birthday.
i've decided some training in my office would be good, so i'm starting him early as you can see. his pram is parked off and he can get used to the office atmosphere, perhaps he will become a shipping whizz like his dada.

presently he is more interested in my spectacle case, must be really tasty.

personally, i think we should get him some golf clubs, turn out a pro, like tiger woods. there is less stress involved in walking around on the golfing greens.

the little guy has taken over the family room. coffee table and everything else has made way for azaad's toys, also our way of keeping him in while we attend to adult activities.

besides crawling he has taken to lifting himself up, while holding the couch, problem is he topples over, then looks for sympathy by howling out loud, just to be comforted by his dadi.

at the very least he keeps us all occupied and entertained

oooh, i am so sour this morning....my nephew is out of smiles today. spent the weekend with his mum and dad, so it could be that he misses them, or it's just the monday morning blues, really the morning after the weekend before. a little to young for that,... nephew of mine.

his not even interested in the toys, or his rubber book to play with.definitely no smiles this morning, i am hoping he improves a little later in the day.

nephew is off for the weekend, with mum and dad. the house seems so empty in less than 5 minutes of his leaving. i am sure he will be sorely missed once these two weeks are over. this morning his gran brought him up to wake the rest of us,....he will be back tomorrow....
